Father Ben Henry-Lloyd is a great fisherman. He started with his parents when he was a boy and now he has mastered all kinds of watersports. His wife Pippa knows that he will spend morning, noon and night messing about on boats! If he can be persuaded onto dry land then he likes to play cricket.
Mother Pippa Henry-Lloyd also learned how to sail with her parents. She enjoys boating and sailing competitions and she has taught her children that team work on board is essential so that they will all become very competent sailors. If Pippa has time to relax then she likes to cycle along the riverbank enjoying the views.
Son Zac Henry-Lloyd is very enthusiastic about rowing and also about music, as well as being an accomplished sailer. He finds it hard to fit in all the practising required to master all his hobbies, if he could play a saxophone and row a boat the same time, now that would be very handy.
Daughter Sarah Henry-Lloyd is very competitive and well organised, she enjoys regattas in the summer, in particular she enjpys the evening parties after the races are finished and the social side takes over. She loves to get dressed up and chat to her friends about the day's events!

* Frasier Chocolate has been making sweets since he was a young boy and he's now a confectioner of the highest calibre. It all started when his mother showed him how to make crystallised fruit, which is very easy, but his chocolate creations today are a work of art as well as tasting heavenly.
* Teri Chocolate makes all the fillings for Frasier's chocolate creations, the strawberry surprise being the best. Her kitchen is always full of the rich smell of fruit mixed with the sweet smells of sugar and spices bubbling in pots. It makes your mouth water just thinking about it!
* Coco Chocolate is not permitted to help his father or mother in the preparation of their chocolate concoctions because he eats more than he makes! He's put to useful employment being the delivery boy for the family.
* Freya Chocolate, unlike her brother, doesn't eat sweets or chocolate so she helps her mother prepare the fillings. She does eat a lot of fruit though!

Dolly & Fennel Buttercup are shy babies who don't like being away from their mother Daisy. They will not play by themselves when mother is doing housework, so she gives them a duster each and they follow her around the house.

Hornbull Buttercup loves walking through the fields and woods around Sylvania all alone. He likes the pieace and quiet and gets all huffy and bad tempered if he is disturbed during his thoughtful strolls. Some children find him frightening.
*Daisy Buttercup is very nosey, and likes to see and know what is going on. If she sees anyone out for a walk or off shopping, she will wander over to see what they are up to and have a chat!
*Paddock Buttercup is a very frisky, running, skipping and jumping everywhere, he just can't seem to stand still for long! All this pent up energy makes Paddock very good at the playground game of 'catch' but he is at a disadvantage when the children play 'hide & seek'
*Annabell Buttercup does not like to rush anything. She walks slowly and gracefully, and has never been seen to run or even jog. Getting ready for school in the morning takes her hours.

* Margo Barker runs the well organised Tourist Information Office. The walls of Margo's office are full of posters and maps and she has leaflets full of details about everything that is happening in Sylvania.
* Tarquin Barker does everything at a sedate pace, he never runs or rushes around. If he could, he would spend all day, every day reading a book in front of the warm open fire in the family front room.
* Jocasta Barker, unlike her brother is full of energy, rushing hither and thither like a mad thing. Give her a ball and she will play for hours in the garden even if there is no one else to play ball with!
